ONE: Century Part I, the first of two back-to-back ONE Championship cards in Sumida City, Japan was set to go down Saturday (eastern time), with fighters hitting the scale Friday.
ONE Championship has a double bill set to mark it’s 100th show this weekend in Japan. On Friday, the first of two weigh-ins was set to take place, as well as hydration tests for each fighter. Angela Lee was topping the card, in a rematch against Xiong Jing Nan. China’s ‘Punching Panda’ had defeated the ‘Unstoppable’ Lee to defend her strawweight title. Now, she was moving down to ONE’s atomweight division in an attempt to win the belt Lee had held since its inception.
Also on the card, the flyweight and lightweight grand prix finales — including the return of Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson, against Danny Kingad. A flyweight title fight lay in the balance. At lightweight, however, champ Christian Lee stepped into the finale, to take on the dangerous Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev.
Weigh-in and hydration tests will stream live at 8PM ET.
