Kevin Holland is headed to Boston rather than Brazil as he steps in for Eric Spicely to face Brendan Allen.
The UFC has found their replacement for Eric Spicely at UFC on ESPN 6 in Boston. Kevin Holland has stepped up to fill in on the card, which will see him throw down with former LFA champ Brendan Allen.
MMA Junkie was first to report the news. Holland also hinted at the development on social media Monday.
How’s about a tea party?! ☕️. I’m “all in”.

Allen (12-3) was an LFA middleweight champion, and earned his way into the UFC as part of Dana White’s Contender Series. His three losses as a pro came to Trevin Giles, Eryk Anders, and Anthony Hernandez — all of whom would go on to have UFC careers.
Holland (15-4) is also a Contender Series alum. He’s won three straight under the UFC banner since dropping his debut against Thiago Santos — a wildly entertaining fight regardless. No stranger to short notice scraps, Holland will fill in for the injured Spicely in Boston.
The American had been expected to face Antonio Arroyo the following month at UFC Sao Paulo. The promotion will seek a replacement for Arroyo.
UFC on ESPN 6, as UFC Boston is otherwise known, takes place Friday, October 18, 2019 at the TD Garden in Boston, MA. The light heavyweight debut of former middleweight champ Chris Weidman, against Dominick Reyes, serves as the evening’s main event. Jeremy Stephens vs. Yair Rodriguez, the ill-fated UFC Mexico City headliner, has also been added to the card.
