With the Contender Series once again ready to rumble on Tuesday, all fighters hit the scales Monday morning in Las Vegas.
While the season is quickly coming to an end, there are still a few more installments of Dana White’s Contender Series to go this summer. On Monday, the latest batch of fighters would hit the scales ahead of Tuesday’s show, which clocks in as the 24th installment of the series (in the U.S., anyway), and as week eight of the third season.
A number of interesting fighters were set to throw down this week. Among them, Ray Rodriguez, who has been helping Alberto Del Rio, the ex-WWE star and former Pride fighter, prepare for Tito Ortiz. He’ll be meeting CES MMA champ Tony Gravely at bantamweight. Welterweight Brok Weaver, a pro since 2013 who has spent much of that time with Island Fights, was getting a shot against Devin Smyth, who has gone undefeated since his pro debut.
And Sarah Alpar, a pro since 2011 who last fought in LFA, would take on Shanna Young at bantamweight.
First up, all fighters had to weigh in — check below for Monday’s weigh-in results!
