We’ve got highlights from Thursday’s UFC 240 media day face-offs, featuring Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar, plus the rest of the main card!
Edmonton, AB — The UFC returns to PPV this Saturday in Edmonton, Alberta. The chilly Canadian city, home to the NHL’s Oilers, and one of the most impressive malls in the northern hemisphere, will for a night play host to one of the most anticipated featherweight title fights in years: Max Holloway vs. Frankie Edgar, at UFC 240.
From Bashaw to Camrose to Edmonton proper, fans should come out for this one. Holloway, despite a failed bid for the lightweight crown, remains one of the best featherweights of any era. Edgar was quick to point out that he’s been knocking on the door of greatness ahead of the fight. And Edgar himself is a storied figure in the sport, a former lightweight champ.
In the co-main event, meanwhile, ex-featherweight champion Cris Cyborg returns to action for the first time since being knocked out by Amanda Nunes. Cyborg will face Felicia Spencer Saturday in Edmonton, a former Invicta FC champ with a perfect 7-0 record.
On Thursday, the UFC hosted the UFC 240 media day ahead of the big show. The entire main card was on hand, and faced off on-stage for the assembled media. Check out photo highlights from those face-offs below!
