Rodolfo Vieira has signed with the premier MMA organization, as he will debut against Oskar Piechota at UFC Montevideo in August. The Athletic’s Josh Gross was the first to report the news.
Rodolfo Vieira, 29, is a four-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion and a six-time World Cup Champion. The Brazilian won Gold at ADCC in São Paulo back in 2015 in the 99KG category. Vieira also won gold in Abu Dhabi for four consecutive years from 2011-2014. Nicknamed “The Black Belt Hunter,” Vieira is also a successful Mixed Martial Artist. Vieira made his professional debut back in 2017, where he won by first-round Rear-Naked Choke submission. Currently, Vieira is 5-0 in MMA with a perfect finish rate. Piechota is also a former Cage Warriors middleweight champion, a crown he won in just 32 seconds back at Cage Warriors 85. Piechota has 11 wins in his MMA career, 10 of which have come by way of finish.
