Akhmed Aliev made a big statement at PFL 2 2019, scoring a first-round knockout over Carlao Silva with a beautiful right hand.
Akhmed Aliev is a Russian fighter who holds wins over UFC veterans Zubaira Tukhugov, Diego Brandao, Efrain Escudero, and Ivan Jorge. The majority of his 21 fights have come under the FNG banner, where he won the lightweight championship in his last fight with a spinning wheel kick. The 29-year-old is 17-4 with 10 knockouts coming into his PFL debut.
Carlao Silva comes into the second season of PFL with a Shooto Brazil lightweight title to his name. Silva is 11-1 and is on a five-fight win streak. The Brazilian has seven knockouts and one submission in his career.
Akhmed Aliev pitched a shutout in this one. Any strike that Carlao Silva threw only hit air. Near the midway point of the first round, Aliev landed a beautiful overhand right that knocked Silva clean out. Aliev followed up with a left that caused Silva to pop up, then battered him with strikes to get the finish.

This is the eighth straight win for Aliev, who earns a big six points in the standings in his PFL debut.
