Michel Pereira made his promotional debut at UFC Rochester in style, knocking out Danny Roberts with a flying knee, followed by a huge right hand, early in the first round.
Danny Roberts is a British welterweight coming off a controversial loss against Claudio Silva. Roberts has struggled when receiving steps up in competition with a 5-3 record in the UFC with the losses coming to Mike Perry, Nordine Taleb, and the aforementioned Silva. “Hot Chocolate” is a two-time Fight of the Night recipient with a pair of knockouts and a submission inside the Octagon.
Michel Pereira made noise in the MMA world with a dynamic performance in Road FC that included several in-fight flips. The highlight reel earned him a spot on UFC Rochester to make his promotional debut. The Brazilian is willing to fight at any weight, with his last three fights taking place at the following weights (in pounds): 204, 190, 185 respectively. This fight will be at 170-pounds.
Pereira opens up with a big counter right, forcing Roberts to backpedal. Pereira throwing some flash jumping off the cage, including a rolling thunder. The Brazilian attempts some kind of running superman punch, but it was off. As Roberts closed the distance, Pereira landed a jumping knee followed by a straight right, knocking Roberts out cold.
