Former Invicta FC featherweight champion Felicia Spencer submitted former Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson at UFC Rochester, sinking in a rear-naked choke in the first round.
Megan Anderson is one of the shining stars of the featherweight division. The Australian signed with Invicta FC in 2015 with a 4-1, but lost in her promotional debut to Cindy Dandois. After that, she went on an absolute tear, knocking out her next four opponents and winning the featherweight title. She was then signed to the UFC and fought former champion Holly Holm in her promotional debut and ended up losing the bout. She then fought former title contender Cat Zingano and won in an unfortunate way, having her toe unintentionally catch the eye of her opponent during a head kick in the first minute.
Felicia Spencer will be making her promotional debut at UFC Rochester. The Canadian has fought exclusively for Invicta FC in her career, winning their featherweight title in November. Spencer is 6-0 with four submissions with a win over Pam Sorenson.
Megan quickly lands a big right hand after catching a kick from Spencer. Megan landing at range forces Spencer to close the distance. A wild scramble results in Spencer taking the back and getting the fight to the mat. Spencer backpacks Anderson, landing strikes before locking in the rear-naked choke, forcing Anderson to tap.
