ONE Championship: Enter the Dragon went down Friday in Singapore, featuring Shinya Aoki defending his lightweight title against Christian Lee, and the promotional debut of Sage Northcutt.
Friday marked another big debut for Asia’s ONE Championship: former UFC standout Sage Northcutt was set to make his first appearance for the promotion. Northcutt (11-2) went 6-2 during his time with the UFC, stayed undefeated at lightweight, and left the company on a three-fight winning streak. He was stepping into the ONE cage at Enter the Dragon in Singapore, taking on Cosmo Alexandre.
The main event of the Enter the Dragon card, meanwhile, saw Shinya Aoki defending his lightweight title against Christian Lee. It was Lee’s second shot at gold in ONE, and he was looking to come out on the right side this time. Aoki, meanwhile, was hoping to defend, so that he could meet the winner of the ongoing Lightweight grand prix.
