Friday morning saw all fighters hit the scales for UFC Wichita, with no ceremonial weigh-ins for the event.
The UFC was set to bring heavyweight action to Wichita, Kansas on Saturday, and it all started with Friday’s weigh-ins. With Junior Dos Santos taking on Derrick Lewis in the UFC Wichita main event, and Ben Rothwell returning against former World Series of Fighting champ Blagoy Ivanov, the forecast called for knockouts. Oh, and add in another heavyweight pair: Maurice Greene vs. Jeff Hughes.
With heavyweights rarely struggling at the scales, all eyes would instead be on the likes of co-main event welterweight Curtis Millender, a big 170lb’er (but one who had never missed weight), and Anthony Rocco Martin — who had missed once at lightweight, but was fighting up at 170lbs.
While it dragged out to nearly the end of the weigh-in window, all fighters made weight Friday morning.
Check back Friday morning for full weigh-in results as Cageside Press is in Wichita!
