The second of back-to-back cards, Bellator 216 was clearly the more stacked event, making the show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut must-see TV.
Bellator 216 kicked off Saturday night with names like Vinicius de Jesus, Justin Sumter, and Tyrell Fortune in the mix. Lots of promising talent, in other words. They were setting the stage for the big names later in the event. Names like Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Paul Daley, in the main event welterweight grand prix quarter-final. Names like ex-heavyweight champ Vitaly Minakov and Cheick Kongo, in a title eliminator. And like Mirko Cro-Cop and Roy Nelson, two old legends going at it for a second time.
Also on the card, the Bellator debut of former UFC welterweight Erick Silva, taking on the undefeated Yaroslav Amosov.
All that promising action was set to kick off at 7:30 PM EST. Check below for full results, and don’t miss the Bellator 216 live stream of all the early action as well!
