Stefan Struve will look to pull out of a tailspin when he meets Brazil’s Marcoes Rogerio de Lima at UFC Prague in February.
The UFC’s first visit to Prague will feature a heavyweight scrap between an up-and-coming Brazilian, and the promotion’s tallest athlete. On Saturday, UFC officials announced on social media that the ‘Skyscraper’ Stefan Struve would appear at UFC Prague. There, he will take on Brazil’s Marcos Rogerio de Lima, a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3.

For Struve (28-11), the fight will be a chance to break a three-fight skid that the Dutch fighter desperately needs to pull out of. After a health scare several years back, Struve took roughly a year and a half off. Since his return in 2014, he has gone 3-5, with wins over aging heavyweights Bigfoot Silva and Big Nog, plus a UFC 204 D’arce choke submission over Daniel Omielańczuk. He has not won since. In his last three fights, Struve has been defeated by Alexander Volkov, Andrei Arlovski, and Marcin Tybura.
Marcos Rogerio de Lima (16-5-1) spent a considerable amount of time competing at light heavyweight in the UFC. However, after missing weight in two consecutive fights, he returned to heavyweight at UFC 230 in November. Earning a unanimous decision against Adam Wieczorek that night, he’ll look to make it two in a row against Stefan Struve — quite literally the tallest test of his career.
UFC Prague (UFC Fight Night 145) will be the third UFC event carried on ESPN+. The show takes place February 23, 2019 at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.
