Invicta FC had one last go in 2018 over the weekend, bringing Invicta FC 33 to Kansas City, with atomweight champ Jinh Yu Frey topping the card.
Invicta FC 33 marked the final event of the all-female promotion’s year. Going off with a bang at the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri, the card saw an atomweight title fight rematch end in a split decision win for 105lb champion Jinh Yu Frey. It was the second straight win for Frey over Minna Grusander, and while the nature of the result will have some calling for a third fight, that will likely wait.
Instead, you can expect Frey to face some new challengers in 2019. But before we even get to that point, let’s take one last look at the promotion’s final card of 2018, which also saw the return of teenager Kay Hansen, scoring a come-from-behind win over Sharon Jacobson in the form of a third round arm-bar.
