With its Salute the Troops card, properly Bellator 212, Scott Coker’s MMA outfit brought a lightweight title fight and a surprisingly interesting event to Honolulu on Friday.
Bellator 212, a.k.a. Bellator: Salute the Troops went down Friday night as the first of back-to-back cards the promotion hosted in Honolulu, Hawaii. The main event featured arguably the biggest grudge match Bellator has put on in years. Forget Sonnen vs. Silva, the animosity between Michael Chandler and Brent Primus was absolutely palpable. Before the grudge match, however, there were some key early bouts — and you can catch all the early action on the Bellator 212 live stream right here!
Chief among them, the return of Tywan ‘Speedy’ Claxton, or ‘Air’ Claxton if you prefer. Claxton (3-0) became an overnight sensation for Bellator when he scored a flying knee knockout in his debut at Bellator 186. He’d done nothing but win since, however, and that was the plan again on Friday.
Also on the Bellator 212 preliminary card, Robson Gracie Jr. was finally making his debut, after having two opponents drop out in October. Hopefully the third time would be the charm for Gracie, who was looking to get his first MMA fight under his belt.
The Bellator 212 live stream kicks off at 8:45 PM EST, with all the prelim action followed by the main card, which will air live on DAZN and Paramount Network.
