Pedro Munhoz picked up another strong win in the UFC’s bantamweight division Friday, taking care of Bryan Caraway early at the TUF 28 Finale.
Friday night saw a key bantamweight meeting in Pedro Munhoz vs. Bryan Caraway on the main card of the UFC’s TUF 28 Finale from Las Vegas. Munhoz entered the night after picking up a unanimous decision over Brett Johns at UFC 227. Caraway came into the night after dropping his last fight to Cody Stamann at UFC 222 when he lost a split decision.
Still, while Caraway has fought sporadically, he was a tough out for anyone.
Caraway got off early with a body shot then tried for the take down as the pair started out Friday. Muhoz fired back with a leg kick. Caraway shot another take down but Munhoz defended it, he then landed a heavy jab. Both men were throwing with power. Caraway shot another take down and Munhoz stuffed it again. They continued to exchange with Munhoz getting the better of things. Caraway shot in and Munhoz fought him off; as Caraway got back to his feet Munhoz landed a hard knee that badly hurt Caraway and sent him backward. Caraway hit the canvas and Munhoz was on him and looked to finish with strikes. The ref was quick to jump in and stop the action, and that was all she wrote!
