UFC London, 2019 Edition has been announced for this coming March, as the promotion returns to the English capital for the eleventh time.
Just last weekend, UFC Senior Vice President of International and Content David Shaw said the promotion would be announcing at least some of its 2019 dates in the near future. On Friday, once of those dates was officially announced. This year’s annual London show will take place on Saturday, March 16 at The O2 Arena, the organization unveiled via press release. While no main event was announced for the show, fans at least now know the date.
The card will mark the promotion’s eleventh trip to the English capital. It’s expected UFC London 2019 will be a Fight Night card. Broadcast details were not announced Friday.
“Ever since our first event in London in 2002, the city has always been a special location for the UFC. The fans here are some of the most passionate in the world and always turn up in their numbers to show their support,” UFC Senior Vice President, International and Content, David Shaw said in Friday’s press release. “The UK is home to many of our world class mixed martial artists and its fantastic to see the sport continue to go from strength to strength here. It’s going to be a great night of action.”
The promotion will utilize a microsite located at ufc.com/London to keep fans up to date on news regarding the card.
