It was one-and-done for the UFC Moncton weigh-ins, with just Friday morning’s official trip to the scales for fighters at Saturday’s Fight Night event.
Moncton, NB — With no ceremonial weigh-ins for Saturday’s event, all eyes were on the official affair on Friday morning in Moncton, New Brunswick. UFC Moncton (UFC Fight Night 138) was a light heavyweight showcase, with three fights in the 205lb weight class on the main card. A few other bouts would be under the microscope when it came time to weigh in, mind you — mainly those featuring Michael Johnson and Jonathan Martinez, both short-notice replacements.
While Martinez hit the mark, Johnson came in at 147, just over the featherweight limit. A clearly upset Johnson said it was “bullsh*t” he didn’t get an extra hour to make weight. However, with Lobov already saying on Thursday that he’d take the fight, the card is a go.
