Brandon Vera will be back in action at ONE Championship: Conquest of Champions, where the Filipino-American should have the crowd in his corner as he defends the ONE heavyweight title.
ONE heavyweight champion Brandon Vera will get back in the cage next month. On Thursday, ONE officials announced that Vera would return to action at ONE Championship: Conquest of Champions in November. There, he will defend the title against former Cage Warriors champion Mauro Cerilli. For Vera, it will mark his first fight in nearly two years.

Vera (15–7 (1)), of course, is best known for his UFC run, which saw him enter the promotion a highly touted prospect. However at struggling at heavyweight then dropping to light heavyweight, he left the company on a three-fight skid. Following that, he signed on with ONE, going 3-0 and winning the promotion’s inaugural heavyweight title in the process. In December 2016, ‘The Truth’ defended the title for the first time, finishing Hideki Sekine at Age of Domination.
He has not fought since. Mauro Cerilli (12-2), a.k.a ‘The Hammer,’ meanwhile, enters the fight on a five fight win streak. That winning run saw him bounce back from the first (and only) two losses of his career.
ONE Championship: Conquest of Champions takes place November 23 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. A previously announced lightweight title fight between Eduard Folayang and Amir Khan also features on the card.
