A rematch of one of KSW’s hottest fights in recent memory will top KSW 46, as Mamed Khalidov meets Tomasz Narkun for the second time.
KSW 45 was another big show for the Polish promotion over the weekend, going down at the SSE Arena at Wembly in London, England. On Monday, KSW officially announced the main event for KSW 46. That will see Mamed Khalidov take on Tomasz Narkun for the second time. The card goes down at Arena Gliwice in the city of Gliwice, Poland on December 1. The pair met in the cage in London for a brief face-off over the weekend.
Khalidov (34-5-2) ran up a fourteen fight win streak between 2010 and 2017. In KSW, he put together an undefeated streak of twenty fights between 2007 and 2017. That streak included victories over Michal Materla, Melvin Manhoef, Borys Mankowski, Matt Lindland, Kendall Grove, Maiquel Falcao, Jesse Taylor, and Ryuta Sakarai. In a champion vs. champion bout against Tomasz Narkun at KSW 42 earlier this year, however, Khalidov suffered his first loss. The third round submission defeat was his first in years.
At KSW 46, Khalidov will attempt to win one back against the bigger man. He previously vacated the promotion’s middleweight title with a second fight against Narkun in mind.
For his part, Narkun (15–2) has not lost since 2015, running up six straight wins. He has successfully defended the KSW light heavyweight title three times since capturing the crown against Goran Reljic at KSW 32.
