When Titan FC 50 goes down this Friday, July 29 on UFC Fight Pass, Sidney ‘Da Gun’ Outlaw plans on making one thing very clear: he belongs in the UFC.

Fighting for much more than just another check in the win column, Sidney Outlaw heads into the main event of Titan FC 50 with the hope of drawing the attention of a certain three letter promotion. “I know where I want to be,” Outlaw explained to Cageside Press just days before his main event title fight at Titan FC 50. There, he’ll challenge Raush Manfio for the promotion’s lightweight strap.

“After this fight we should be getting some news,” revealed Outlaw. “Stuff happens but my manager tells me that something is in the works. I just have to go out there [at Titan FC 50] and do what I do.”

A veteran of nearly every major North American MMA promotion, Outlaw even appeared on the first season of the Tuesday Night Contender Series — where he earned a unanimous decision over Michael Cora. “That was not my best performance, it was boring,” ‘Da Gun’ admitted.

Although victorious, Outlaw would not earn a UFC contract on that night, however, there’s always a silver lining and ‘Da Gun’ has been working relentlessly. “I’ve been working my stand up, I’ve been working my set ups,” Outlaw stated with an air of confidence.

“I’m not afraid to try different things, I’ve even been working on my diet so I can consistently make the weight [155] and perform a lot better. I just want to be able to do what I do.”

Most of Outlaw’s fights have been at 170lbs, but he believes his ticket into the UFC will be through the lightweight division. “55 is where I want to be,” ‘Da Gun’ reiterated.

“That’s my weight class, but if the UFC hits you up and they want you to fight in the Contender Series at 170 [lbs], I don’t even know how to say no to that.”

Outlaw will put his four-fight win streak on the line this Friday night at Titan FC 50 against the lightweight champion, Raush Manfio. With a win, ‘Da Gun’ can’t imagine a scenario where he doesn’t get into the UFC. “That is what I sacrifice so much for,” Outlaw said referring to the prospect of signing with the UFC.

“I can’t even imagine, all this hard work I put in, all the time and dedication… If I don’t ever get in the UFC I know God must have a better plan for me.”
