A number of high profile bouts have been added to UFC Norfolk in Virginia this November. Also known as UFC Fight Night 120, UFC Norfolk will see the likes of Diego Sanchez, taking on Matt Brown, and former Invicta FC strawweight champ Angela Hill, facing Nina Ansaroff, competing at the event. Several other bouts for the November 11 fight card have also been officially announced by the UFC.
Sanchez (27–10), winner of the first season of The Ultimate Fighter at middleweight, will head back to welterweight after spending time at both featherweight and lightweight. Having traded wins and losses over his past six bouts, Sanchez, a fan favorite, will look to get back in the win column after being finished by Al Iaquinta this past April.
Opposite him will be Matt Brown (20–16), who returns to action having lost three straight to Donald Cerrone, Jake Ellenberger, and Demian Maia. Brown has not fought since being stopped by Cerrone at UFC 206 in Toronto last December.
In women’s strawweight action, TUF alum and former Invicta FC champ Angela Hill (7–3) will look to win her second UFC fight this year when she faces Nina Ansaroff. Hill returned to the UFC in February, losing to Jessica Andrade in a Fight of the Night affair. She bounced back at the TUF 25 finale in July, defeating Ashley Yoder.
Ansaroff (7–5), meanwhile, enters the bout coming off a win against Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger. Prior to that, she had lost her first two UFC bouts.
Also announced for the UFC Norfolk card are Nate Marquardt taking on Cezar Ferreira, light heavyweights Jake Collier and Marcel Fortuna going to war, and Karl Roberson making his UFC debut against Darren Stewart. Roberson appeared previously on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series.
