If you thought the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor boxing match would be as crazy as things could get when it comes to the Irish star, well, tap the brakes. It appears Universal Pictures has a Conor McGregor movie in the works, something McGregor himself hinted at earlier in the month. The studio posted the news to their official Twitter on Friday while wishing the Irish star a happy birthday. A promotional poster has also been released for the film, with the tagline “If you want it all, you have to fight for it.” The film will be a documentary, featuring footage filmed throughout the fighter’s career.

The film is entitled “Notorious” — and McGregor teased fans with a clip from it a few days back, though no official statement had been made at the time.
Interestingly, the movie appears to be a joint production with McGregor Sports and Entertainment. Anne McLoughlin, who was also a producer on McGregor’s docuseries “The Notorious” a couple of years ago, and McGregor himself, have executive producer credits.
Gavin Fitzgerald, who served as cinematographer on “The Notorious” picks up the director credit on the film. No word on what sort of release the film will get. A release date for the project is also yet to be announced.
