It’s a homecoming fight for former LFA champion Bryce Logan who returns to South Dakota to face Landry Ward at LFA 207 this Friday night in Sioux Falls.

“I can’t express how much I enjoy fighting back at home. It’s such a great venue (Sanford Pentagon), it’s such an intimate venue, there’s not a bad seat in the house,” Logan told Cageside Press.

“It’s always a pleasure to come home and fight in front of the home town fans. I moved to Arizona like 8 years ago to train full time, and any opportunity I get to come home and put on a show and do what I’ve been doing for the last 16 years, it’s a blessing.”

Logan (13-8) had not left MMA entirely, but had shifted to taking boxing matches in 2024 going 2-0. Now he returns to MMA, and to the LFA, where he’s a former champion.

“I found out about 8 weeks ago. I’ve actually spent the last 6-8 months boxing. I had a couple of professional boxing bouts. With Bellator kind of going away and getting caught up in the mix I was kind of in limbo. Being 35 I didn’t want to just do nothing, and I still had that fire to compete,” he said.

“I did a few boxing bouts and I’ve been active, but I never stopped training MMA. Keeping the sword sharp I guess you would say.”

The lightweight had been searching for another boxing match before the offer to fight Ward at home for LFA came across his table. The opportunity to return to MMA, and return home, was too good to pass up.

“Landy comes from a reputable gym, he comes from a good camp, I like the matchup. I like the challenge that it presents for me and so we hopped on it. I think the boxing experience has made me a little bit sharper as well,” he said.

“He’s a game opponent. I’ve never been interested at any point in my career in taking the easy road.”

Watch the entire interview with Bryce Logan above. He takes on Landy Ward at LFA 207 this Friday night in Sioux Falls SD.

In the co-headliner, Welsh lightweight Mason Jones, another UFC alum, was paired up with Bryce Logan. Logan, like Misech, was a Bellator MMA vet and one who was coming off a loss in his Cage Warriors debut.

Bellator 251 was set to be something of a prospect showcase on Thursday night.

Yes, the card was built around the arrival of Corey Anderson, the latest addition to the promotion’s strong light heavyweight division. Taking on Melvin Manhoef, in the Dutch fighter’s penultimate fight (retirement looms for Manhoef), Anderson was clearly the star of the show.

But the rest of the Bellator 251 card was all about the young talents. Undefeated fighters like Austin Vanderford and Alex Polizzi. A pair of fighters making their professional debuts in Jaylon Bates (bantamweight) and Sumiko Inaba (women’s flyweight).

Not to mention the return of Tyrell Fortune, looking to get back in the win column after a loss and a no contest in his last two outings. And LFA champ Bryce Logan returning to Bellator and getting a step up in competition against Georgi Karakhanyan.

The Bellator 251 preliminary card kicks off at 4:45 PM ET, going down live from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. A live stream is available in the embed above. Full results will be available below.

Bellator 251: Manhoef vs. Anderson Preliminary Card Results

Georgi Karakhanyan def. Bryce Logan by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
Julius Angelickas def. Alex Polizzi by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Janay Harding def. Jessica Miele by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Ali Zebian def. Piankhi Zimmerman by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
Jaylon Bates def. Joe Supino by unanimous decision (30-25, 30-27, 30-27)
Sumiko Inaba def. Jessica Ruiz by TKO, Round 1, 4:59

Legacy Fighting Alliance finished off a busy month on Friday night with LFA 87. It was the final of four cards since LFA returned to action at the start of July, and capping things off was a lightweight title fight for the promotion’s vacant 155lb belt.

That main event saw Bryce Logan earn this third win in a row, and the championship, via a three-round unanimous decision against Jacob Rosales. Logan’s last couple of losses prior to his current run came to Nate Andrews, who competed for the PFL last year, and Demarques Jackson, in a bout under the Bellator banner. Moving to 12-4, Logan has a great opportunity to get picked up by a larger promotion with another good win or two.

Full results for Friday’s card, which once again went down in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, can be found below.

LFA 87: Rosales vs. Logan Results

Bryce Logan def. Jacob Rosales by unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47) – for the vacant LFA lightweight championship
Nick Browne def. Ben Egli by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
Joaquin Buckley def. Jackie Gosh by TKO (punches), Round 2, 1:47
Kai Kamaka III def. Michael Stack def by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Gerald Scott def. Keith Phathaem by TKO (punches), Round 2, 4:33
Zac Pauga def. Zac Cavender by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
Ryan Charlebois def. Andrew Lipp by KO (punch), Round 1, 3:37
