A 44-fight up-and-comer?

Welterweight Ding Meng (35-9) is set to make his UFC debut against Jose Henrique (8-1) at UFC Macau on May 30, 2026 in Macau, China.

News of the booking was first announced by Iridium Sports Agency, who represent Meng.

“The Ruthless Assassin” Meng has 30 stoppages among his 35 wins, and went 1-1 under the ONE Championship banner previously. He appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024, losing a decision to Rami Hamed, who did not win a contract for his performance.

After bouncing back on the regional scene with a single fight last year, Meng now gets his UFC opportunity and gets to debut at home on Chinese soil.

Mostly fighting on the Chinese regional scene, Meng has shared the cage with the likes of future ONE Championship star Ok Rae Yoon, early in the pair’s respective careers.

Henrique likewise will be making his UFC debut at UFC Macau. His lone career loss came in his own Contender Series opportunity in 2022. Since then, he’s won three fights in MMA and found success in the boxing realm as well.
