PFL middleweight champ Costello van Steenis, the first man to defeat Johnny Eblen, was in action at PFL Madrid on Friday, looking to defend his title against Fabian Edwards.
In addition to van Steenis vs. Edwards, AJ McKee returned to action, at featherweight, taking on Hungarian standout Adam Borics in another clash of Bellator MMA veterans. Also on the card, Linton Vassell was back. Originally scheduled to face 2024 PFL Global heavyweight champ Denis Goltsov, Vassell instead drew replacement opponent Jose Augusto, known as Anthony “Rumble” Johnson’s final adversary in MMA.
