Five new fights have been announced for UFC Perth this May.
While MMA fans were focused on UFC Vegas 114 on Saturday, promotion officials revealed a number of bouts for the Fight Night card at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia on May 2, 2026.
Those five fights are:
- Tai Tuivasa vs. Sean Sharaf at heavyweight
- Junior Tafa vs. Kevin Christian at light heavyweight
- Jacob Malkoun vs. Gerald Meerschaert at middleweight
- Robert Bryczek vs. Cameron Rowston at middleweight
- Steve Erceg vs. Tim Elliott at flyweight
Of note is Tuivasa (14-9), rather implausibly still ranked in the top 15 at heavyweight while looking to snap a six-fight skid. He takes on Sean Sharaf (4-2), a former LXF champ who is 0-2 inside the octagon.
Speaking of titles, a pair of former flyweight title challengers face off on the UFC Perth card. That fight sees Steve Erceg (13-4), who lost a title fight against Alexandre Pantoja in 2024, taking on Tim Elliott (21-13-1), who won TUF 24 to clinch a shot at Demetrious Johnson way back in 2016, only to come up short as many did against the flyweight great.
UFC Perth is headlined by former welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena, returning to action for the first time since losing his welterweight championship to Islam Makhachev last May. He takes on fellow 170lb contender Carlos Prates.
