UFC 327 in Miami has its main event, and it appears a vacant light heavyweight title will be on the line.
Per Dana White, who announced the news on social media late Friday, Jiri Prochazka will face Carlos Ulberg in the main event of the Miami, Florida-based card.
The event takes place on April 11, 2026 at the Kaseya Center. The fight will be for the promotion’s undisputed light heavyweight strap.
White confirmed Friday that Alex Pereira has vacated his title, which likely signals a long-talked about move to heavyweight for “Poatan.” Talk will no doubt quickly shift to the UFC’s White House card, scheduled for June, with Pereira among the frontrunners to fight there.
Up first however is UFC 327. Prochazka (32-5-1) is a former light heavyweight champ who is currently riding a two-fight win streak, with wins over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr. The Czech star captured UFC gold in 2022 against Glover Teixeira, but later vacated the belt due to injury. He twice faced off against Pereira, both times for gold, but came up short on each occasion.
While a change in weight classes was briefly mulled, Prochazka’s recent successes put him right back in the mix. Now, he’ll get the surging Ulberg (13-1), a City Kickboxing teammate alongside Israel Adesanya who has rattled off a seriously impressive nine-fight win streak.
Most recently, “Black Jag” knocked out the resurgent Dominick Reyes. Ulberg is currently ranked #3 in the light heavyweight division, while Prochazka sits in the #2 spot.
A flyweight title fight between champ Joshua Van and Japan’s Tatsuro Taira serves as the UFC 327 co-main event.
