Legacy Fighting Alliance was back in action on Friday night with bantamweight action headlining the card in Ventura, California.
LFA 227 saw Japanese veteran Shuya Kamikubo returning to the company after winning his last two bouts under the LFA banner. He’d gone 6-0 for ONE Championship, and amassed a 16-2-1 record overall. “Stealth” had come up short in a Road to UFC appearance, but was looking to land in the UFC by way of arguably its biggest feeder promotion.
Opposite Kamikubo was Rafael do Nascimento, 5-2 under the LFA banner to date. “Mulisha” had challenged for the LFA bantamweight title in 2024 and, after coming up short, had gone on to win both his bouts since.
Also on the card, Bellator vet Theo Haig looked to bounce back from a loss on the Contender Series as he took on Lance Wright in a middleweight fight.
