ONE Championship was in action for the second of back-to-back cards at the Lumpinee Stadium on Friday (Saturday local time in Bangkok), with ONE Fight Night 40: Buntan vs. Hemetsberger II.
Airing on Prime Video in North America, the card also kicked off a new broadcast deal between ONE Championship and ESPN in Australia and New Zealand. In the main event, Jackie Buntan and Stella Hemetsberger collided for Buntan’s strawweight kickboxing title, a rematch of their ONE Fight Night 35 encounter, which saw Hemetsberger capture Muay Thai gold. Buntan, the reigning champ on the kickboxing side, was looking for revenge.
The card also featured Adrian Lee, youngest of the Lee siblings (Christian, Angela, and the late Victoria Lee), looking to bounce back from the first loss of his professional career. He took on Shozo Isojima in an early card MMA bout.
