Featherweight Cub Swanson has been flirting with retirement, and has not fought since a win over Billy Quarantillo in 2024— but he does have at least one more fight left in him.
On Wednesday, Swanson, who had previously teased that he’d be fighting again soon, announced he will be facing Nate Landwehr at UFC 327.
The event takes place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida on April 11, 2026.
Swanson (30-14) has traded wins and losses over the past five years. A fan-favorite for his thrilling fight style and ingenious offence, Swanson is already enshrined in the UFC Hall of Fame, landing there for his UFC 206 classic against Doo-Ho Choi in Toronto.
The WEC star kicked off his UFC career officially in November of 2011, and holds victories over Dustin Poirier and Charles Oliveira, prior to their moves up to lightweight.
Landwehr (18-7), at 37, is five years younger than the 42-year old “Killer” Cub. He took the long road to the UFC, earning a featherweight title with M-1 Global before transitioning to the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2019.
Five of his last seven fights have earned Nate “the Train” post-fight bonuses. With Swanson no slouch in the bonus department either, this match-up could see one, or both fighters earning some extra cash.
UFC 327 does not have a main event announced or reported. The following match-ups are expected to take place at the Miami show:
- Dominick Reyes vs. Johnny Walker
- Cub Swanson vs. Nate Landwehr
- Tatiana Suarez vs. Loopy Godinez
- Azamat Murzakanov vs. Paulo Costa
- Choi Dong-Hun vs. André Lima
