The PFL’s “Lazy King” has a new opponent for his first fight in over a year.
Abdoul Abdouraguimov (19-1) was originally booked opposite Magomed Umalatov at next month’s PFL: Road to Dubai card on February 7. However, with Umalatov out of the fight, Kendly St. Louis (11-5) has instead stepped up to accept the fight.
That’s a considerable downgrade in opponents, with Umalatov himself being 18-1 and one of the promotion’s more storied welterweights. Understandable, however, given the short-notice nature of the change, which comes just over two weeks out from the event.
PFL officials announced the switch on Tuesday.
Abdouraguimov is a former two-division ARES FC champion who was a hot free agent a couple of years back. The PFL managed to snap up his services, apparently out from under the nose of the UFC, with the “Lazy King” making an immediate splash by winning his first three fights inside the promotion’s SmartCage. However, a contract dispute led to a fight with Kevin Jusset falling through last September, and as a result Abdouraguimov did not fight at all in 2025.
Kendly St. Louis, a two-time veteran of the dormant PFL Challenger Series, competed twice for the promotion in 2025, going 1-1 in the process. St. Louis went 4-0 under the CFFC banner prior to jumping to the PFL.
PFL: Road to Dubai takes place on February 7, 2026 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, UAE. The card is headlined by a lightweight title fight between champ Usman Nurmagomedov and PFL World Tournament winner Alfie Davis.
