The vacant Legacy Fighting Alliance welterweight title was on the line in the main event of Friday’s LFA 223.
Jonathan Piersma and Luis Francischinelli threw down to claim the promotion’s 170lb championship, previously held by fighters like Gabriel Bonfim, Carlos Leal, and Jason Jackson, among others.
Having previously appeared on Road to UFC, Piersma was looking to work his way back to a UFC opportunity. Luis Francischinelli was undefeated to start the night, and had spent his entire pro career with LFA.
