Canada’s own Melissa Croden makes the jump to the UFC on Saturday, with the undefeated bantamweight facing off against Tainara Lisboa.

Croden (6-2) makes her UFC debut in her home country of Canada following a successful LFA run. With a three-fight win streak intact she looked to continue her momentum right into the UFC.

Lisboa (7-3) is coming off a loss to Luana Santos in May. She’ll look to avoid a two-fight losing skid while welcoming Croden to the promotion.

The fight kicks off the event’s preliminary card, with the event featuring several Canadian talents in high-stakes match-ups.

The fight saw a competitve round one between the two ladies. Crowden found success with the jab and has more power behind what she was throwing. Lisboa did a fine job in the clinch, mixing in some nice elbows. Lisboa also ended the round better, landing in combinations.

Round two started competitive but you can see Croden start to wear on Lisboa late in the round. Croden even had Lisboa in some damage at the end of the round but Lisboa uses an armbar attempt to survive to the round.

Round three, Lisboa was done. Croden came out aggressively and eventually scored top position. She was aggressive with doing damage and did until the ref stepped in with under a minute left.

Official Result: Melissa Croden def. Tainara Lisboa by TKO (GnP), Round 3, 4:32
