Originally scheduled as a featherweight contest, UFC 320 found Daniel Santos vs. Joo Sang Yoo going down at a 153lb catchweight instead.

The Chute Box product had won all three of his UFC fights since dropping his debut against Julio Arce, while Yoo entered with a perfect 9-0 record, winning his promotional debut in June.

ROUND 1: The always fun Santos opened the fight with a lead hook kick that barely missed. Yoo’s comfort in the striking department was evident. He was varying his attacks and consistently landing his jab. Just as the Korean started showboating, Santos landed a takedown, but that didn’t stop Yoo from entertaining the crowd, pretending to fall asleep. After Yoo got back to his feet, Santos feinted another takedown attempt to hide an overhand right. Yoo snuck in his lead left hook as Santos was moving in, but the Brazilian ate it and fired back with a two-punch combination. They both exchanged strikes as the round ended.

ROUND 2: Santos put on the pressure right away to start the second round. Wanting to make the Korean pay for keeping his hands low, he landed a clean left hand off a switch combination that floored Yoo. The following ground-and-pound shots forced Herb Dean to step in and put an end to the contest.

After dropping his promotional debut in April of 2022, “Willycat” has now won four straight. He’s clearly talented, but he may need to pick a weight class as those four wins have come at four different weights (135, 140, 145 and now 153lbs).

Official Result: Daniel Santos def. Joo Sang Yoo by TKO, Round 2, 0:21
