UFC Rio loses a fight, UFC Vegas 111 gains a main event.

That’s the case with Gabriel Bonfim vs. Randy Brown. The welterweight bout, originally scheduled to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil next month, will instead be held on November 8, 2025 at the UFC Apex, where it will serve as the main event of UFC Vegas 111.

News of the switch was first made public by reporter Laerta Viana.

Brown (20-6), nicknamed “Rude Boy,” is 4-1 in his last five fights inside the UFC octagon and is coming off a knockout win over Nicolas Dalby. Two of those four victories have also seen Brown pick up post-fight bonuses. His losses under the UFC banner have, for the most part, aged exceptionally well, and include Belal Muhammad, Jack Della Maddalena, Vicente Luque, Niko Price, and Bryan Battle.

Brazilian Gabriel Bonfim (18-1) was no doubt looking forward to fighting at home, but like Brown, now gets to headline his first UFC event. He’s ranked #14 in the promotion’s 170lb rankings. Brown is not currently ranked. Bonfim has won his last three appearances, including a victory over Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.

UFC Vegas 111 on November 8, 2025 now includes the following reported match-ups:

  • Gabriel Bonfim vs. Randy Brown
  • Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Jacqueline Cavalcanti
  • Luana Santos vs. Dariya Zheleznyakova
  • Marco Tulio vs. Christian Leroy Duncan
  • Austin Bashi vs. Jamall Emmers
  • Adrian Yañez vs. Cristian Quiñónez
