An even bigger story, however, was attached to the co-main event, where Olympic wrestling star Gable Steveson made his MMA debut. The heavyweight, who had once been in the employ of the pro wrestling world’s WWE, faced Braden Peterson in a fight that had far more eyeballs on it than any other regional scene debut in recent memory.
