UFC Shanghai takes place this Saturday, with the promotion returning to Shanghai, China with some big names including Johnny Walker, Brian Ortega, Aljamain Sterling, and Sergei Pavlovichi in tow.
In the main event, one that should go over well with Chinese fight fans, Zhang Mingyang gets his first main event billing in the UFC, taking on popular Brazilian Johnny Walker. Mingyang, 27, has won his first three UFC fights to get here, most recently defeating Anthony Smith in “Lionheart’s” retirement fight.
Walker, once considered a title hopeful, has lost his last two fights, but the Brazilian still holds plenty of name value among fight fans.
In the co-main event, former featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega faces off against Aljamain Sterling, the ex-bantamweight champ now calling 145lbs home.
