Prediction: Shuai is a well-rounded fighter with a solid gas tank and a high work rate. He’s capable both on the feet and in the wrestling department, and he’s shown he can be effective at range, particularly with his leg kicks, as well as in close. His wrestling may be his best asset, giving him multiple paths to victory.
Tau, on the other hand, probably shouldn’t have been brought back this season. He did win his opening fight, but it was against an overmatched opponent. While Shuai does have some rough losses on his record, he still shows clear upside—something that can’t really be said about Tau.
Realistically, the only advantage Tau brings is that he’s scarier looking. His best shot is to drag Shuai into deep waters and hope for a late finish. But unless Shuai completely fades, he should be in control from start to finish. I’m taking Shuai by decision, as he’s simply the more skilled and well-rounded fighter.
