PFL Hollywood: Fabian Edwards Has Harsh Words for Dalton Rosta

Hollywood, FL — Needless to say, Fabian Edwards does not think much of PFL World Tournament finals opponent Dalton Rosta.

That much was clear during this week’s PFL Hollywood media day. The pair headline this Thursday’s card, which is the final event in the tournament.

“Dalton, I don’t think much of the kid. I really do think he’s a bitch, because like I said, if I was to catch him outside, just me and him and no cameras around and all of that, I would really get into it,” Edwards (15-4) told Cageside Press and other media outlets in attendance. “I know he wouldn’t want that, I know he wouldn’t want to get into it. It’s not going to happen, so it is what it is.”

Later, he would call Rosta “a juicehead wrestler.”

“He’s coming to sniff my crotch for five rounds and make it a boring fight. And I won’t have that. I won’t have that.”

Asked if he truly believed Rosta was juicing/on steroids, Edwards doubled down. “Of course he’s on steroids. He’s either on it or been on it, one of the two. One of the two. Get him to do a lie detector test, and say ‘have you ever been on steroids in your life?’ And 100% I’d bet my whole purse that he doesn’t f*cking pass it. And that’s it.”

Edwards, who lost to Johnny Eblen in a Bellator title fight last year, has bounced back with wins over Impa Kasanganay and Josh Silveira in the World Tournament this year. Costello van Steenis, meanwhile, defeated Eblen recently to claim the middleweight title, now part of the PFL Champions Series. Things are looking up for Edwards, who could land another title fight by winning the tournament this Thursday.

“I feel like I’ve been the best I’ve been in my career. I feel like it’s set up to be a perfect year for me. Like Costello just won the title, I’m about to win this tournament, and it’s going to be a great year. To go out there and do what I say I’m going to do and get that gold over my shoulder, it’s going to be an amazing year for me.”

Edwards never had the chance to compete in one of Bellator’s grand prixes during his time in that promotion, though he feels his stint there has still helped him in the PFL World Tournament. “The experience I gained from that has really served me well for this tournament. And I feel like I’m going out there and showing that to everyone.”
