PLN Friday Night Fights

Branson, Missouri was straight-up buzzing Friday night as Pro League Network’s Friday Night Fights returned for Week 9 live at PLN Studios, and the energy was absolutely unhinged. With Slim Reaper taking a break from the game, the vacant Light Heavyweight Championship became the hottest prize in slapfighting, and the four-man tourney brought nothing but heat, drama, and a finish that’s already got fans debating who’s next.

From bone-rattling KOs to all-out wars, Week 9 had it all… and then some.

Psycho’s KO Rampage, Mallet’s Comeback, and Young & Lavish’s Clinic

The night kicked off with Tournament Semifinal matchup — ‘Break it’ Blake Howard vs Psycho — and the vibe was electric. The first round had both guys throwing bombs, but in the second, Psycho made it crystal clear why he’s feared: one colossal slap, lights out. Howard hit the deck hard, and Psycho punched his ticket to the finals. Brutal.

Then came Mallet vs Smiley, and this one was a total war. Nine rounds of chaos. Smiley scored an early knockdown and had Mallet on shaky legs, but Mallet’s iron chin and savage heart flipped the script. By the end, Smiley’s mouth was shredded with a nasty inside cut, forcing the stoppage. TKO — and the crowd went nuts.

Next up, Young & Lavish completely dismantled The Fireman. Round after round, he landed sharp, crisp shots that ballooned The Fireman’s cheek to double its normal size. By Round 7, the doc had to shut it down. This was less a fight and more a masterclass in controlled destruction.

Black Larry’s Domination & A New King Crowned

The main event before the championship was Black Larry vs Outlaw — and let’s be real, this was a one-sided beatdown. Larry came in on a mission, dropping Outlaw again and again until the three-knockdown rule ended it in Round 4. Straight-up domination. If you blinked, you missed it.

Finally, time for the Light Heavyweight Championship Finals: Psycho vs Bad Influence. This wasn’t just a fight — it was a war for bragging rights and the belt. Both guys landed absolute nukes, each round feeling like it could tip either way. Psycho had moments where it looked like he might close it out, but Bad Influence stayed laser-focused, racking up points with clean, technical slaps while eating Psycho’s best shots.

When the dust cleared, the judges went unanimous — Bad Influence is your new Light Heavyweight Champion. The crowd roared as the belt was strapped around his waist, marking the beginning of a new era in PLN slapfighting.

Week 9 will be remembered for its chaos, blood, and the crowning of a champ who’s not afraid to scrap to the bitter end. Slim Reaper’s throne isn’t empty anymore… but challengers are already lining up.
