UFC middleweight Marvin Vettori and his opponent at UFC 318 Brendan Allen have already have a preview of sorts of their fight this Saturday night before they get into the octagon in Louisiana.
Vettori (19-7-1) and Allen had a scrap in a casino back in 2024 following a PFL event in Hollywood, Florida. The video allegedly shows Allen rushing Vettori with a flurry of punches before the two are separated on the casino floor.
Not many details have ever really come out about the incident so Vettori cleared a few things up from his perspective.
“He lives in Florida, but I haven’t seen him and I never seen him. Around that time I was, I said, if I see him it’s on sight. I saw him coming out and I still had my shoulder f*cked up, but I just went on him,” Vettori told reporters including Cageside Press on Wednesday.
“I landed a few and then he wanted to get me back, but there was a lot of people in between. There’s too many people around, we’re in a casino, eventually nothing’s going to happen. Then I look over one second just to see what was going on. They just let him go. Nothing really happened. It is what it is.”
Even if Vettori’s explanation is as confusing as the footage itself one thing is for sure. He really doesn’t care for Allen one bit.
“I was kind of like pissed because nothing really happened and I haven’t seen him since. He lives around there, but I don’t see him,” he said.
“You run your mouth and then you got to move differently because, if I see you, it’s on sight. I just can’t wait to get into the cage and hurt him to be honest.”
