Preparing for a massive opportunity at Noche UFC in September is lightweight Jean Silva who will face Diego Lopes in the main event in a banger of a fight.
Silva (16-2) didn’t mince words. He’s planning to take Lopes out and put himself right in the mix of the 155 title picture.
“It’s going to be a well-studied fight. It’s going to be a fight with a lot of strategy, and it’s got to be programmed,” Silva told Cageside Press through a translator at UFC X at International Fight Week.
“It’s going to be a knockout. I’m going to knock him out.”
‘Lord’ Silva has always been one to get very emotional during fight week, and it’s something that he seemingly has leaned into. At UFC X he was a featured fighter that fans lined up for hours to meet, and it’s something that wasn’t lost on him.
“The UFC has cleared me already. I’m done with my obligations, the time is up, but I’m staying here because I love being with everybody. I love to feed off the energy of the crowd,” he said.
“I love this and no I have not changed. I’m still feeding off of the emotions because I love this.”
