Anthony Hernandez Ready For Title Shot, Doesn’t Care Who The Champ Is

UFC middleweight Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez continues to pile up victories as he gets set to take on Roman Dolidze on Aug. 9 at the UFC APEX.

Hernandez (14-2) is 8-2 in the UFC riding a 7-fight win streak and hunting for a title shot. The former LFA champion is hoping to add another belt to his resume.

“The way I see it is if I keep winning I can’t be denied,” Hernandez told Cageside Press at UFC X during International Fight Week.

“I feel like I got to do more work until they f*cking say ‘hey sit out a little bit’ or something. I haven’t been told sh*t so as of now I’m going to keep going towards that belt.”

‘Fluffy’ gets Dolidze in the main event of UFC Vegas 109 in August. Dolidze is on his own 3-fight win streak and moving towards a title shot himself.

“He’s a vet for sure. He’s a f*cking banger. He comes forward and throws hard. I really like this fight for myself because, personally, I seen him gas in about three rounds. I f*cking live for people that gas out cuz I’m going to make you work. I’m going to make you f*cking drown,” he said.

With a title shot in mind Hernandez is famous for saying he doesn’t keep up with MMA very much. The sole focus on his career has served him well even with the title up for grabs at UFC 319 between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev.

‘Fluffy’ couldn’t care less who the champ is. He just wants to fight them.

“I really don’t care how (that fight) goes,” said Hernandez.

“Whoever has the belt, eventually, I’m going to fight them. So I don’t give a f*ck.”
