Featherweights Max Holzer and Deniz Ilbay collided in the main event of Saturday’s Oktagon 69, taking place in Dortmund, Germany.
Holzer entered the night a perfect 10-0, while Ilbay, a former professional boxer, looked to play spoiler. Also in action, former UFC flyweight Lucie Pudilova, coming off a title fight loss against Cecilie Bolander. After losing a close split decision to Bolander, Czech Republic’s Pudilova was looking to earn a win over the well-traveled Brittney Cloudy, an Invicta FC, KOTC, and LFA veteran.
The win might just be the ticket to another shot at gold for Pudilova, given her career series with Bolander remains tied at 1-1. Unbeaten lightweight prospect Fedor Duric was also set to compete at Oktagon 69, paired up with Predrag Bogdanović, who had a massive experience edge in the main card fight.
