Former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno called for the next shot at the title following his win over Steve Erceg at UFC Mexico on Saturday night.

He asked for it, but he knows nothing is a sure thing.

“How confident I am (that I’ll get it)? Man I don’t even know. I don’t know nothing right now,” Moreno told reporters at his post-fight scrum.

“I’m just happy enjoying the moment, but let’s see what happens you know?”

Moreno (23-8-2) can make his case for another shot at UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja, but it’s a tough ask with an 0-2 record against him. That doesn’t even include the loss to Pantoja at TUF 24.

“I saw Hunter (Campbell) and he looks very happy with the people, with the crowd, that’s the thing. Who knows how much I move the needle, maybe not too much right? Flyweights always with the same problem. That’s crazy,” he said with a smile.

“I really believe every single time I step in the octagon, the people goes crazy. That’s a fact. So let’s see what happens.”

Not only does he want a title shot next, but he’s got the perfect setting for him. During the event the UFC announced on the broadcast that they will hold Noche UFC, also known as UFC 320, in Guadalajara, Mexico on September 13.

Could be the perfect headliner in the promotions first visit to the land of Tequila and Mariachis.

“That’s the goal, for sure, Guadalajara. I think it’s perfect even for the UFC. If you want to get a PPV event in Noche UFC in September in Guadalajara,” he said.

“I think I’m the right choice.”
