Legacy Fighting Alliance was in Brasília, Brazil on Friday for LFA 205, featuring a bantamweight title fight in the night’s main event.

That title fight sees Brazilian standout Vinicius Pires face off against fellow top prospect Lionel Abojer of Argentina. The belt previously belonged to John Sweeney, who was stripped of his title back in July after missing weight for his fight with Rafael do Nascimento. While Sweeney won the belt, he was ineligible to retain it.

And so it was Pires, unbeaten since 2019, facing off with Abojer, winner of five straight, to become the promotion’s latest bantamweight champ.
