UFC lightweight Manuel Torres already knows his fight against Drew Dober has the potential to be fight of the night and earn him a bonus at UFC Mexico on Saturday night.
“This could be fight of the night. He’s very explosive, just like myself,” Torres told reporters through a translator on Wednesday.
“You know me thought I’m looking for the finish and the bonus. We’ll give it a shot.”
Torres (15-3) gets a big fight in the co-main event in his home country coming off a tough loss at Noche UFC. An exciting bout against Ignacio Bahamondes that night had Torres on the wrong end of a TKO finish.
The lessons learned from that fight will be on display against Dober said the lightweight.
“I learned a lot from that fight. Be more calm and patient with myself, stick to the game plan,” he said.
Regardless of how the fight goes Torres is looking to control his own destiny by going for the finish against Dober at UFC Mexico.
“I come to finish the fight and keep it out of the judges’ hands,” said Torres.
