Christian Leroy Duncan Aiming For Ranking After Pulyaev Victory

UFC middleweight Christian Leroy Duncan has a ranking in his sights following his decision victory over Andrey Pulyaev at UFC London on Saturday night.

“My vision now is dominate all my fights going forward and head towards the rankings, the top 15, and get a number next to my name,” Duncan told reporters including Cageside Press at his post-fight scrum.

“No matter whoever they want to select for me to fight, I accept any challenge, but ultimately I want to make my way to the rankings now.”

Duncan (11-2) wasn’t able to finish the fight, the bout itself was largely fought in the clinch, which disappointed the middleweight.

“I really wanted to get the finish in this one, and I thought we was very close at the end, but we ran out of time unfortunately. We got the win,” he said.

“I would have liked to get a finish, I think anybody would have, and I came very close at the end. I have to give it to Pulyaev he’s very tough fighter. Absorbed a lot of shots in there, and he hung on. Sometimes fighters are just tough and can take a lot of hits.”
