The UFC’s return to Montreal gets a legend in the octagon as bantamweight Jose Aldo is set to face Aiemann Zahabi at UFC 315 on May 10 in Montreal.
The promotion made the announcement on Tuesday.
Aldo (32-9) continues his legendary professional MMA career at UFC 315 against Zahabi. Coming off a loss to Mario Bautista at UFC 307 slowed his return to MMA following a win over Jonathan Martinez at UFC 301.
Aldo had a 3-fight run in boxing following his initial retirement from MMA in 2022.
Zahabi (12-2) gets the biggest name of his career in Aldo on home soil, and at possibly the perfect time. He brings a 5-fight win streak into UFC 315 with his last one being a decision victory over Pedro Munhoz last November.
Wins over Drako Rodriguez, Ricky Turcios, Aoriqileng, Basharat and Munhoz have Zahabi ranked and fighting a legend. A win over Aldo could launch him into a fight with a top 10 opponent.
UFC 315 takes place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on May 10 at Centre Bell Arena. The card as of now looks as follows:
- Belal Muhammad vs. Jack Della Maddalena (UFC welterweight title)
