
Former UFC women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso will return to action at UFC 315 in Montreal.
Announced by the promotion via Canadian broadcaster SportsNet, Grasso (16-4-1) will face Natalia Silva (18-5-1) at the Pay-Per-View event in Montreal, Quebec on May 10, 2025.
The fight will be the first bout back for Grasso since her trilogy of fights with rival Valentina Shevchenko. The 31-year old from Mexico shocked (and for once, that’s not hyperbole) the MMA world when she dethroned “Bullet” care of a face crank submission in their first meeting at UFC 285 in March of 2023. A rematch followed, with the pair battling to a draw in September of that year.
A full 12 months later, and after a coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter, the duo met for a third time at UFC 306 (Noche UFC) at The Sphere in Las Vegas, with Shevchenko winning her belt back care of a unanimous decision.
Grasso now returns for her first non-title fight since a 2022 win over Viviane Araujo, facing Brazil’s Silva, fresh off a Fight of the Night victory against former strawweight champ and flyweight title challenger Jessica Andrade. Silva sits on a 12-fight win streak dating back to her time on the Brazilian regional scene, and has won six of those bouts under the UFC banner.
Alexa Grasso is ranked #1 in the women’s flyweight division, while Natalia Silva sits at #5 currently.
UFC 315 takes place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec on Saturday, May 10, 2025. The following match-ups have been reported for the event:
